A refreshing and complex blend from our pristine pinot noir and chardonnay. Red fruit aromas of strawberry and redcurrant complement the underlying leatherwood honey and brioche toast notes. The palate displays a delicate structure and is refreshed by the mouth-filling and creamy mousse, balanced by fresh citrus notes with a finish both fine and long. The perfect aperitif!

Reviews

Huon Hooke, 2013 Brut, 92 pts
“Light to medium, bright yellow colour, with a powerful bouquet of smoky, toasty, straw-like nuances. The palate is superbly soft and fluffy-textured, clean and dry but without any astringency. The liqueur is there but carefully tucked away. It seems quite youthful and fresh but has terrific balance and seamless line. (4 years on lees).”

“100% pinot noir D5V12, 4 years on lees, 3g/l dosage. The low dosage was doubtless inspired by the time on lees, and is right on the money. An oddity is the relative absence of mousse in the glass even when swirled, yet it is very active in the mouth. The flavours are a mix of small berries and dominant citrus, the length and balance very good.”
